Simon and his pal Joshua Benson were playing together. Posted by Hello

God provided a new car for us right before we travelled to Pennsylvania for Christmas. It is a 2001 Honda Civic Ex with a manual transmission. It's just what I've always wanted.  Posted by Hello

Brother Augustine Asir from Chennai, India came to speak at the missions conference at Bryan this January. He spoke with conviction on our responsibility in God's mission. I was able to introduce Alison and Simon to brother Augustine. Posted by Hello

I just found out this morning that my sister Johanna is going to have a boy. William Falkner IV. That sounds like a very stately name. That makes us excited. Congratulations Jo and Bill.

Last night I decided to play plumber because we were having a leak in our kitchen faucet. No problem. In fact I had just done the same thing a couple weeks ago...at least I thought it was the same thing. Last time the little rubber piece had a nick in it so the water leaked slowly. So I started taking things apart and then water sprayed everywhere. You should have seen me. I was like one of those scenes on a TV show with the water going everywhere and me trying to keep my hand over the spray to keep it from coming out. Eventually I figured out that I could turn off the water below the sink. By the time I turned it off, water was all over the kitchen. Luckily Alison was not there to see it. :-) And yes I did fix it, and I learned my lesson all at the same time.

We have posted more pictures of Simon if you're interested. The link is to pictures of our Christmas trip so it has more than just pictures of Simon.

We also bought a newer car a couple weeks ago. We bought a burgandy 2001 Honda Civic EX. The Lord is good indeed. I wanted a manual transmission and the one that we were able to afford not only had a manual transmission but was an EX model which is the top of the line. It came with a spoiler and a sun/moon roof. Alison has been learning to drive stick because she has never done it before. She's doing great. She drove us home from Wal-Mart a couple of nights ago.

Alison and I took Simon to get his shots today. He had five vaccinations in four shots, two shots in each leg. Ouch! That's the first time I really saw him scream and hurt that bad. It hurt to watch him. We'll see how he does the rest of the day. When we left he seemed to be fine, but we heard that the pain can last for about a week. Simon was just starting to get used to a schedule too. He slept for five hours straight last night. That was a first for him. I think he's getting used to his crib which is great. Alison and I actually got to spend some good quality time with each other last night. Praise the Lord!
