Today starts a new week at work. A lot of things are happening this week, I think. We'll see. We'll save that for another entry.
---
Last week Alison and I went on vacation to Florida. We stayed with Mom and Dad Viner and had a great time watching movies, sleeping in, playing Texas Hold'em and Rummikub, bowling, driving range, mini golf, and of course going out to eat.
Movies we saw:
1. Chronicles of Riddick
2. Johnny English
3. Shrek 2
4. Monsters Inc.
5. Collateral Damage
We also watched lots of HGTV (well Alison did).
Places we ate:
1. Britt's Cafe
2. Mario's
3. Subway
4. Crispers
5. Outback
6. Alan and Karen's Greek Restaurant
7. Uno
We taught Mom and Dad how to play Texas Hold 'em. They didn't have any poker chips so we used Rummikub tiles for chips. We each started off with 26 tiles and Mom won the first game without even trying. I left the instructions with them so they can practice for next time.

Alison and I went to have our first ultrasound today and found out that we are having a healthy baby boy. See the ultrasound pics at the wiki.

Alison had her last day of work Tuesday. Wednesday our A/C went out so her first day off wasn't as good as it could have been, but then it had a great twist. Steve Paulson called us up and asked us to come over for dinner and then we stayed till evening so we didn't have to spend too much time in our hot apartment. The hvac guys came the next day and fixed it. It's nice to live in an apartment.
We then had dinner again at the Paulsons' last night: spaghetti and sausage....mmmm. I like that. The Anaya's were there (Billy and Sarah). They are a new couple in town. He's a Biblical studies major and she works somewhere in town. The Paulsons were generous enough to have us over again. It was fun.
We still have our mouse. He's been hanging around for a couple of weeks. He ate my doritors!!!! Well it looks like he ate a full stomach's worth of our mouse poison today or last night so he should be decomposing in a few days. :-)

Alison and I had a lovely weekend. Saturday we went swimming and spent the whole day together. Sunday both of us were tired. I spent quite a bit of time working on reviewing 1 Corinthians and prepared a reviewing lesson. We are both looking forward to our vacation in two weeks. We are excited about having some time off from work together.
Good news. Alison will be done work either Tuesday or Wednesday this week. I'm excited that she will be able to rest and take naps. It'll be good for her to be able to things with other ladies in the church as well. We'll just have to see how much energy she has.
Well back to work....

Tonight Alison and I will most likely spend some time together talking since I was gone on my trip the last two days. We might then watch a movie like Pirates of the Caribbean. It's good to be home.

Last night Alison and I watched Master and Commander. Stefon, my boss, let us borrow it. It was an ok movie. I didn't know too much about it to make an intelligent review. I'm not really into ship movies. I think I would go crazy if I had to live on a ship for months.
Tomorrow Stefon and I leave for Nashville for a business trip. We do about two to three of these a year. This time it's with the TICUA people. All of the IT directors and network administrators get together to collaborate on what we can do together and share ideas. I always benefit from these times. We'll be leaving at 7:00 AM and won't get back till Friday night. Hopefully we'll have Internet access while we are there.

Alison and I had a nice long weekend. Yesterday we slept in till about 11:30 AM. It felt great. We had a rude awakening when Alison went to make some pancakes and screamed. She saw a mouse. So I had to see what I could do. I don't particually like mice either; they're not as cute as the ones on Cinderella. So far we haven't caught it. Our sticky trap may not work anymore because it is so old.
We went and saw _The Prince and Me_ yesterday afternoon. It was OK. Alison really wanted to see it, so we went as a date. It was great to spend time with her on our day off.
